This exciting project is led by Causeway Coast to focus on the conservation of semi-natural grassland over the next three years.

Bee Inspired

Sat 30th June, Roe Valley Country Park, Limavady

We will be hosting a bee inspired morning of events with Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) at Roe Valley Country Park. There will be 2 events running simultaneously:

Bee identification workshop, 10 – 12noon, for those interested in learning about our native bees, their identification and habitats, led by Aoibhinn Corrigan, NIEA. This will be in the form of a short talk followed by identification in the field.

Please dress appropriately for the outdoors including waterproofs and sturdy footwear.

Children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult

Beelicious Family Adventure 10 – 1pm, the Roe Valley Country Park staff will take you on a bee wander around Roe Valley Country Park, using nets to catch whatever bee, butterflies and bugs you come across for a closer look. Afterwards returning to the centre to make your own bee home, to take home.

There will be two session, running from 10-11.30 and 11.30-1pm

Children under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult

You can turn up on the day for either session starting at the Centre at 10am or 11.30am but to help us prepare for this event we would ask you to provisionally book with Wendy Johnston at  beepollinatorevent@hotmail.com
