Don't Mow Let It Grow

This exciting project is led by Causeway Coast to focus on the conservation of semi-natural grassland over the next three years.

Garvagh, Carhill Road

This verge was part of the orignial Envision project and has been managed as a traditional hay meadow now since 2012, and is getting better every year. When survey in 2012 it was found to contain thirty-three species of plant, including three different species of orchid; common spotted, heath-spotted and northern marsh orchids. Other plants record were oxeye daisy, knapweed and red clover, along with common carder and white-tailed bumblebees, and small tortoise shell and speckled wood butterflies.

This verge can be enjoyed from the public footpath that runs along the side of it.
