Don't Mow Let It Grow

This exciting project is led by Causeway Coast to focus on the conservation of semi-natural grassland over the next three years.

Pollinator inspired Talks – 31/5/18

Thurs 31st May 7.30-9pm Dance studio, Roe Valley Arts Centre, Limavady

Come along to an evening of short talks inspired by our pollinators. Hear from Catherine Bertrand, Butterfly Conservation about our beautiful butterflies and marvellous moths. Melina Quinn, NIEA, will talk about the ambitious work of the All Ireland Pollinator action plan and the many ways you can get involved. Rachel Bain, will share with you the inspiring Don’t Mow Let It Grow grassland project. Jim Loughrey, Roe Valley Beekeepers’ Association, will talk about the wonder of honeybees and the invaluable contribution they make to pollination.

There will be an opportunity to borrow a moth trap overnight from Catherine to trap moths in your own garden, returning traps and moths to Limavady on the morning of the Friday 1st June to have Catherine identify & release the moths you caught. Please indicate when booking if you would be interested in participating in this activity.

The evening will conclude with tea, coffee & biscuits and an opportunity to network and chat to the speakers.

Places are limited so booking essential

Please book with Wendy Johnston at:           beepollinatorevent@hotmail.com
