Don’t Mow Celebrates 3 Years Of Growth

Blue Planet cameraman and BBC presenter, Simon King OBE visited the the Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council to help celebrate the successes of Don’t Mow, Let It Grow. iReach Insights conducted a nationally representative survey on 1,000 adults in ROI to discover how they feel about bees and measures that have been taken to help them.- 88% of individuals believe the Irish government has not worked sufficiently to help save the bees.- 38% of people have personally taken measures to help save the bees.Top 3 measures people have taken to help save the bees: 1. Planting different flowers that bees prefer (69%), 2. Reducing the use of pesticides (56%), 3. Honeybee Inspired Talk & Workshop

Thurs Aug 23rd 7.30 – 9pm, Auditorium, Roe Valley Arts Centre, Limavady Spend an evening with Roe Valley Beekeepers’ Association for a glimpse into the wonderful craft of beekeeping, and be inspired with short talks from beekeepers on their work during the beekeeping season.  Various displays will be available such as honey and beeswax, mead, beekeeping equipment and bee friendly planting.
