This verge was part of the orignial Envision project and has been managed as a traditional hay meadow now since 2012, and is getting better every year. When survey in 2012 it was found to contain thirty-three species of plant, including three different species of orchid; common spotted, heath-spotted and northern marsh orchids. Alan is a retired primary school teacher with a background in Environmental Studies. He has had a keen interest in the natural environment and the great outdoors since early childhood.
